Juice It Up! celebrates 7th consecutive quarter of growth

Some brands can start to stagnate after a couple of decades in business, but Juice It Up! is experiencing renewed energy and interest in our franchise offering, especially after announcing our seventh consecutive quarter of growth and two straight years of Average Unit Volume (AUV) increases.

We’ve seen our third-quarter sales increase 4% over the same period in 2016, and overall sales are up 5% year-to-date. This is a significant accomplishment in the highly competitive raw juice and smoothie segment.

We were a healthy eating franchise before that was even a thing. We were first to market with the superfruit açaí, which has become a staple in our smoothies and bowls.

Innovation and stability keep our franchise at the forefront

Our analysis shows that a lot of factors have contributed to our year-over-year sales increases. Part of our marketing strategy is introducing Limited Time Offers (LTOs) to the menu, such as this year’s Golden Summer Refreshers, which included the Turmeric Fusion and Chili Lime Mango Smoothie. New taste combinations, the use of trending ingredients like turmeric, which is commonly used as an anti-inflammatory, and partnerships with TAJÍN®, a popular seasoning blend made with lime, chilies and sea salt, help attract new guests and remind our loyal customer base that we are constantly innovating.

Research and Development Scientist Noah Burgess is constantly experimenting with flavor profiles and new ingredients, calculating the nutritional value against the sheer taste appeal. That’s evident in our delicious core menu offerings as well as our LTOs. As our Operations and Development teams work to expand our presence nationwide, we expect to see Juice It Up! picking up even more momentum.

Currently, we have locations in California, Texas, New Mexico and Oregon, with more to open soon in Florida.

We’ve been a leading brand for over 20 years, and we do everything we can to help our franchise owners succeed in the thriving juice and smoothie industry. Has over 80 units open or in development, largely concentrated in the Western U.S. but also extending into new markets farther east thanks to our simple business model and experienced franchise leadership. We recently signed a multi-unit development deal in Florida, where we know our fresh, hand-crafted raw juices, made-to-order smoothies and nutrient-rich bowls will be a big hit with guests.
