What New Records Has Juice It Up! Achieved in 2021?

So, what exactly was accomplished in 2021 besides continuing our dedication to helping consumers live healthier lives by providing quick, tasty, and nutritious options? Quite a number of things –

Some record-breaking 2021 numbers include:

  • 26.3% increase of same store sales (SSS)
  • 29.2% increase of total system sales (TSS)
  • $41+ million in total sales – a new all-time high for us

To cap off such a fantastic year, Juice It Up! also saw the overall average unit volume (AUV) grow by 18%. AUV for the top 25% of Juice It UP! locations reached a total of $854,667, while the top 50% finished 2021 with an AUV of $730,339.

Our Mobile App’s “Skip-The-Line” Ordering & Loyalty Rewards

Our mobile app with built-in ordering is a significant component driving our continued success, allowing guests to “skip-the-line” and order ahead. Additionally, guests enjoy the appealing new rewards and perks for loyalty members.

Here is a look at how our mobile app loyalty program and digital reach is continuing to help us grow:

  • 57% increase in orders placed by loyalty members
  • Mobile app outpaced in-store orders 51% to 49%
  • The number of digital orders grew 70% in 2021
  • 19.26% of all orders placed in 2021 were digital
  • 11.26% of total sales took place within the app

Following in the footsteps of our 25 years year old business, product innovation continues to be at the forefront of everything we do. Constantly introducing new limited-time offerings has allowed us to compete with other smoothie chains.

New Franchise Development

With over 11 new agreements signed last year, we expect a total of 13 new stores to open on the West Coast in 2022. In fact, we’re committed to doubling our location count to approximately 200 within the next five years.

Twenty development plans are currently in the works, allowing us to explore new markets like Arizona. Among these include our first-ever drive-in store, several other non-traditional units, and continued redesigns to update existing stores.
